Keep Full delivery: With Keep Full, you can effortlessly manage your propane costs. Say goodbye to concerns about running low on propane or, even worse, running out. No more unexpected expenses like emergency delivery fees, mandatory propane tank pressure testing or the hassle of relighting all your propane appliances. Keep Full has got you covered.
By choosing Keep Full, you’ll also enjoy the added benefit of wireless tank monitoring, while supplies last. This allows us to accurately track when you require more propane and conveniently schedule a delivery. Best of all, you won’t have to lift a finger!
Please remember that if you opt for Will-Call service, it is your sole responsibility to regularly monitor and maintain your propane tank gauge levels. Request a propane delivery before your tank reaches below 30% capacity.
Budget Plan: Depending on how you use propane in your home, your propane usage can vary a great deal over the course of a year. That also means your propane bills are going to similarly fluctuate.
That fluctuation makes it harder to plan your household spending. But when you enroll in our Budget Plan, you are no longer riding a propane bill roller coaster. Instead, your propane costs are spread out over 12 easy, even monthly installments.
You must be a Cortez Gas customer for at least twelve months before enrolling in the Budget Plan. Enrollment is held during June and July.
Pre-Buy: One of the major concerns in managing your home’s propane costs is a sudden surge in per-gallon pricing. These spikes can occur due to various factors such as natural disasters like storms and earthquakes impacting production, geopolitical conflicts and wars like Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, as well as infrastructure failures.
Say goodbye to price spikes with our Pre-Buy plan! Enroll during the summer and secure your propane price per gallon when prices are typically lower. No matter how volatile the energy markets become in the winter, you can count on the stability that comes with your propane price remaining unchanged.
The price of propane per gallon is influenced by more than just supply and demand. Factors such as weather conditions, international affairs and other considerations play a significant role. Let’s delve deeper into these aspects for a better understanding.
Crude oil and natural gas prices: Around 70% of the propane supply in the U.S. is generated as a byproduct of natural gas processing, making any alterations to natural gas production highly influential on propane production levels. The remaining 30% of our propane comes from crude oil processing, meaning global oil markets can also impact the per-gallon price of propane.
Weather: Propane plays a crucial role in residential and commercial heating across the country. The pricing of propane can be influenced by weather conditions both near and far from your location. For instance, a summer hurricane near a propane distribution center can have lingering effects on propane distribution and pricing for weeks, or even months, afterward. Extreme winter cold in another part of the country can drive up demand for propane, which could cause a price spike.
Location: Living in proximity to a propane storage and distribution hub can lead to lower propane costs, while residing farther away may result in higher prices for propane.
Strategic use of our pricing and payment options help you keep your propane costs under better control.
